Job Summary:
The Software Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality technical outputs, including code and documentation, for assigned projects. The role involves producing application engineering deliverables according to project timelines, building and unit testing solutions based on detailed design specifications, and ensuring compliance with established development methodologies and standards.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Translate detailed requirements, design, and solution architecture deliverables into detailed solution design documents (design specifications).
- Maintain effective and consistent communication within the team, with peers, leadership, and other IT groups.
- Proactively raise issues to the team, Technical Lead, Team Lead, and Project Manager when necessary.
- Produce high-quality application development and engineering deliverables in line with project timelines.
- Build and unit test applications according to detailed design specifications.
- Adhere to Application Engineering methodologies, standards, and participate in code reviews.
Critical Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft technologies.
- Technical competency in designing, developing, and debugging software solutions.
- Ability to create appropriate technical artifacts such as solution design documents.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills to collaborate effectively with other teams.
- Knowledge of organizational structure to coordinate with teams outside the immediate technical group.
- Awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application in IT service offerings and products.
